Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how Batchly handles your data.
Last updated: December 2024
🔒 Privacy First
Batchly processes all your images locally on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your photos to any external servers.
Information We Don't Collect
Batchly is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your photos or images
- Your personal information
- Your device information beyond what's necessary for app functionality
- Your usage patterns or behavior
- Your location data
- Any data that could identify you personally
How Batchly Works
Local Processing
All image processing operations in Batchly happen entirely on your device. When you select photos for batch processing, they are processed using your device's CPU and memory. No images are uploaded to external servers or cloud services.
Photo Library Access
Batchly requests permission to access your photo library solely for the purpose of:
- Allowing you to select images for processing
- Saving processed images back to your photo library (if you choose to do so)
This access is controlled by iOS permissions, and you can revoke it at any time in your device settings.
Workflow Storage
When you save workflows in Batchly, they are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. These workflows contain only the sequence of operations (crop settings, resize parameters, etc.) and do not include any image data.
Data Security
Since Batchly doesn't collect or transmit your data, there are no external security risks related to data breaches or unauthorized access to your images. Your photos remain secure on your device at all times.
iOS Security Features
Batchly leverages iOS's built-in security features:
- App sandboxing ensures your data is isolated from other apps
- Permission-based access to your photo library
- Secure local storage for app data and workflows
Third-Party Services
Batchly does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud storage providers. The app is completely self-contained and operates independently on your device.
App Store and iOS Integration
Batchly interacts with standard iOS frameworks and services:
- PhotosUI: For selecting images from your photo library
- Photos Framework: For saving processed images to your photo library
- Files App: For exporting images to files (when you choose this option)
- SwiftData: For storing workflows locally on your device
These interactions are standard iOS operations and do not involve sending data to external servers.
Updates and Changes
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates.
Our commitment to privacy will remain unchanged: Batchly will continue to process your images locally without collecting or transmitting your personal data.
Children's Privacy
Batchly does not collect any personal information from users of any age. The app is safe for children to use as it operates entirely offline and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Your Rights and Control
Since Batchly doesn't collect your personal data, there's no personal information for us to delete, modify, or provide access to. You maintain complete control over:
- Which photos you process with the app
- Photo library access permissions in iOS settings
- Saved workflows (stored locally and can be deleted within the app)
- Processed images (saved to your chosen location)
